As an HMONP Architect and equestrian architect in Rambouillet , I draw my inspiration from emblematic figures who have marked the history of architecture. Charlotte Perriand stands out not only for her exceptional talent, but also for her commitment to functional, human and innovative architecture. Her work continues to influence my equestrian architecture projects.

A pioneer of modern architecture

Charlotte Perriand is often associated with the modern movement, alongside Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. What makes her unique is her deeply focused approach to ergonomics and simplicity of forms. But did you know that she also had a significant influence on the design of collective and natural spaces?

Architecture designed for well-being

In her projects, Charlotte Perriand emphasized the fluidity of volumes and the integration of furniture into the space. She favored clean lines and the use of natural materials, principles that resonate in my own vision of equestrian architecture : functional, aesthetic spaces, and designed for harmony between humans and animals.

How to apply these principles to equestrian spaces?

The influence of Charlotte Perriand is reflected in my equestrian projects by several essential elements:

  1. Simple and functional volumes Perriand preferred clean and functional forms, without superfluity. This approach is found in my designs of stables and equestrian centers, where each space is optimized for the comfort of the horses while remaining fluid and welcoming.

  2. The use of natural materials Materials such as wood, stone and metal, which were at the heart of Perriand's creations, are also at the center of my projects. They allow a better integration of the buildings in their natural environment and create a soothing setting for both horses and their riders.

  3. Modularity inspired by Perriand's furniture Perriand's creations were modular, in order to adapt to changing needs. This flexibility is essential in equestrian architecture , where spaces must be able to evolve according to the needs of the horses and their riders.

A commitment to human architecture

Charlotte Perriand has always championed an inclusive vision of architecture, aiming to create spaces designed for those who occupy them. As a woman in a male-dominated field, she proved that architecture should respond to human needs above all else.

In my work, this philosophy is reflected in my desire to design places that respect the needs of both horses and their riders. A well-thought-out architecture is above all one that fades into the background to offer an experience of well-being.

Architecture inspired by the living

Through her creations, Charlotte Perriand has shown that simplicity and functionality can be combined with a great sensitivity to materials and the environment. It is this philosophy that guides my equestrian architecture projects, where each building is designed to respect the animal, its environment and its needs.

And you, how do you imagine an equestrian space where simplicity and well-being harmonize perfectly?
